The third quarter of 2021 saw notable performances from the top free-to-play games on the Android platform in Africa. Here's a closer look at how these games fared during this period, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Candy Crush Saga experienced a dynamic quarter. Weekly revenue peaked at around $297K in mid-August, with fluctuations throughout the quarter. Download trends showed a peak of approximately 176K in early August, while active users saw a slight decline from 4.6M to around 4.5M by the end of September.

PUBG MOBILE also had an eventful quarter. Revenue hit highs of approximately $189K in mid-July and $175K in mid-August. Downloads peaked at around 191K in mid-September. However, active users saw a decline from nearly 5M at the start of the quarter to about 4.1M by the end of September.

Call of Duty: Mobile Season 8 showcased varied revenue trends, with a peak of around $246K at the end of June and subsequent fluctuations. Downloads saw a significant rise towards the end of September, reaching approximately 37K. Active users, however, showed a general downward trend from around 399K to 332K over the quarter.

Coin Master saw its highest weekly revenue of approximately $144K in early August. Downloads remained relatively steady, with a peak of about 15K at the end of September. Active users showed some fluctuation but remained around the 90K mark throughout the quarter.

Finally, Gardenscapes had a mixed quarter with revenue peaking at about $102K in early July. Downloads saw a peak of around 23K at the end of June, while active users decreased from roughly 431K to 326K by the end of September.
